Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Families,
As Christmas draws closer, we keep in mind those in our community who will find this season challenging. Our school community supports others at this time of year through a number of initiatives. At present we have a Giving Tree and the mounting pile of gifts is testament to the kindness and generosity of you all. An initiative such as this is particularly important in the life of a Catholic school. Our commitment to social justice issues is one of the touchstones of our Catholic identity and how we make our faith real, alive and meaningful. If you have not yet made a donation to the giving tree there is still time to do so.
The season of Advent continues through the four Sundays of Advent and ends at Christmas Eve. During each Sunday of the Advent season, we focus on one of the four virtues Jesus brings us: Hope, Love, Joy and Peace.
As this school year comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you all. Thank you to our wonderful children who have demonstrated perseverance and resilience throughout this year. Thank you to our families for your ongoing support of your children and our school. Thank you to our amazing staff who continue to make a huge difference to the lives of our children. Thank you for providing rich and engaging, well-rounded experiences for our children and knowing that education is about wonder and fostering curiosity, along with development of social skills so needed to maintain connections.
In closing, I wish you all a very happy, safe and enjoyable Christmas break.
I look forward to seeing you all next year on Tuesday 1st February 2022 where we will welcome 15 new children and 10 new families to St Brigid's.
Have a great week.
Take care and God Bless,
Jayne Bosworthh
