Principal's Message
Almighty God,
We give you our school.
We give you all the teachers and staff who work here,
We give you all the children who study here.
We pray our school will be a place of great discovery, adventure and creativity.
May it be a place where we love to learn and where we learn to love,
A place where every one is respected and all are deeply valued.
We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to the 2022 school year! I hope your family has had some opportunity for rest and relaxation over the holiday period and we look forward to working with you to bring faith filled learning in 2022. A new year provides us with the chance to set new goals, to engage in new learnings, to make connections, to participate in school events and widen our understanding of the importance of each person to our school and parish community. We continue to keep in our thought and prayers, members of our community who are currently unwell.
Yesterday, on the feast day of our patron saint, St Brigid, we welcomed children back to St Brigid’s. It was wonderful to see happy faces enter the school grounds. Excitement filled the air at recess and lunchtime as the children explored the new play spaces. I wish all children a happy and productive year of learning.
We welcome our new Foundation students and we also welcome a number of children and their families who have joined other classes in the school.
This year, we welcome four new staff members to St Brigid’s - Julie Molloy (3/4 support), Peter Mullane (Performing Arts Teacher), Mackenzie Gould (Learning Support Officer) and Sarah Foyster (Foundation/One) Teacher.
Take care and God Bless,
Jayne Bosworth
