Principal's Message
Prayer for ANZAC DAY
Gracious and loving God, the cross of Christ is the sign of
your desire for justice and peace for all.
Open our minds to your vision as we remember all who
suffered through Australia and New Zealand’s involvement in
wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
Grant all servicepersons who sacrificed health and life for the
good of all, the gift of your deep peace.
May we who inherit the freedom for which they fought
become instruments of your peace in our homes,
workplaces and world.
We ask this prayer through
Christ our Lord, Amen.
Hello everyone and welcome to the first Newsletter of Term 2.
I have been made feel very welcome here at St. Brigid’s and look forward to working with the school community over the next couple of weeks.
As you are aware, Gabe Driscoll is on a period of sick leave over the first month of the term and we send our love and prayers to her, wishing her a speedy return to good health.
A little about me:
I’m Anthony Clifford, married to Catherine and we have three adult daughters. I have been a teacher in Melbourne, Adelaide & Ballarat and principal of 4 schools for over 40 years. My 4 principalships have all been in the Ballarat Diocese and I still do regular replacement and contract teaching at OLHC in Wendouree. I am also part of the Diocesan Principal Mentor Program and we work with those educators who have recently been appointed School Principals over the last 18 months.
Some of the kids worked out my age (65) and football team (Go Pies!). I love music, play the drums and am an avid reader.
Please say g’day and introduce yourself if you see me around the place.
