Change of Details
Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
Today we are looking forward to hosting our first afternoon of 3-Way Conferences for the year. 3-Way Conferences are an important part of our school calendar and provide a wonderful opportunity for students to take the lead in sharing their learning with families.
3-Way Conferences involves the student, family members and teachers working together to reflect on progress and set goals for the future. This process empowers our students to speak confidently about their achievements and areas of focus. It encourages them to take ownership of their learning journey and celebrate the effort and growth they have made so far.
We encourage families to listen, ask questions and celebrate alongside their child. These conversations build strong partnerships between home and school, helping us work together to support every learner’s success. We thank our students and teachers for the preparation and time they have put into these conferences and look forward to the rich discussions and connections that will take place this afternoon and again next Tuesday.
Looking ahead to the rest of the term, I’d like to share that I will be taking some Long Service Leave from next week - Monday 1st September through to the end of this term. I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time away with my family throughout the next three weeks.
In my absence, along with teaching 2/3W, Therese Winter will be Acting Principal and will be well supported by the leadership team and staff.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to catching up with everyone in Term 4!

Excerpt from St Brigid's Prayer
3-Way Conferences will take place this term on Tuesday 26th August and Tuesday 2nd September. 3-Way Conferences will be 10 minutes in duration. Given the nature of these meetings, it is expected that all students attend the conferences with their parents/carers. Families can book a suitable time through PAM/SIMON Everywhere. Bookings will be made available within the coming weeks.
On Friday 5th September, we are excited to welcome fathers and special people in our lives to our Father’s Day Breakfast and Liturgy. We will commence our celebration with breakfast from 8:30am in the Gathering Space. As this breakfast is for fathers and special people only, children are required to be dropped off to school from 8:30am as per usual. Following breakfast, our Liturgy will commence at 9:15am at St Brigid’s church and will be attended by the whole school.
St Brigid's Parents and Friends are again organising our Pie Drive fundraiser. Orders can be made via the Spriggy Schools App and need to be placed prior to 4pm Wednesday 6th August. Delivery to St Brigid's will be on Friday 15th August.
Hard copies of order forms are available from the school office if required.
To order please go to Spriggy Schools using the Events Tab.
Hot lunches will continue this week and take place each Friday via the online ordering system - Spriggy Schools on SZapp.
Volunteers
We have re-introduced a roster looking for volunteers to help prepare and serve lunches on each Friday. Ideally 3 helpers are required.
If you are available to help out on a Friday between 11.30am-1.00pm please contact the school office with your dates (valid Working with Children Check is required).
The children really enjoy hot lunches and this can only happen with the help of volunteers!

Any help would be greatly appreciated as all funds raised contribute to resources and materials to support your children in their holistic development.
Suzanne Beaver will again be at St Brigids every Tuesday this year.
Suzanne is available for individual sessions with children. Common issues addressed are managing strong emotions, self esteem, friendship issues, anxiety, and family challenges such as illness, grief and separation.
Suzanne is also available for individual sessions with parents. Topics can include a range of parenting challenges, i.e. managing strong emotions, school reluctance, helping your child form strong friendships, and helping your child to navigate family separation.
Suzanne can also assist you in finding the right external support for your child and family.
This is a great service provided right here at school. Please don't hesitate to contact Suzanne with any concerns you might have. Contact Suzanne by phone on a Tuesday or by email any day sbeaver@sbballan.catholic.edu.au.
