Change of Details
Dear Members of our St Brigid’s Community,
This week we are excited to dive into a range of engaging learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.
Yesterday, our Foundation to Year 3 students began their swimming lessons at BlueFit Swimming in Bacchus Marsh. The week-long program includes daily 45-minute sessions designed to build students’ water confidence, safety awareness and swimming skills. We look forward to observing growing confidence as students learn new techniques and enhance their water safety knowledge.
Meanwhile, our Year 6 students and staff enjoyed an excursion to St Michael’s Primary School in Daylesford as part of the Little Feet, Big Footprints initiative. The day was filled with engaging activities, opportunities to connect with students from other schools and moments that encouraged teamwork and leadership. Experiences like these help our senior students build confidence and community as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.
We look forward to a wonderful week ahead!
Jayne Bosworth
'Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made.'
Excerpt from St Brigid's Prayer
Each year, teachers undertake the work of creating class groupings for the following year and many hours are spent on this task. Please be assured that teachers use their professional knowledge of students and their professional knowledge of what is best for each individual child when considering groupings. In assigning students to classes, teachers are asked to consider various factors.
Parent/Carer 2026 class requests of a serious nature, need to be emailed to Jayne - jbosworth@sbballan.catholic.edu.au prior to Monday 27th October, 2025. Please note that requests are not guaranteed.
Requests submitted after this date will not be considered.
Our next P&F meeting will take place on Thursday 23rd October from 3.15pm - 4.00pm in our school Library. An active P&F committee allows families the opportunity to play a valuable part in providing social and fundraising activities. Please attend this meeting if you are interested in joining our P&F committee. Any help would be greatly appreciated as all funds raised contribute to resources and materials to support your children in their holistic development.
All of the timetabled events (to date) for the school year can be found on our school calendar which can be accessed through PAM and via this newsletter.
