Change of Details
Dear Members of the St Brigid’s Community,
Last week was National Reconciliation Week (NRW). NRW is a time for us to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The 2022 theme, “Be Brave. Make Change.” is a challenge to all to Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for the benefit of all Australians.
Week 6 was certainly a big week for our Year 5 and 6 children. The week commenced with Year 5/6 camp to Angahook. A massive thank you to Chelsea Brennan, Andrea Byvoet, Ricky Whitcher and Mackenzie Gould for their organisation, preparation and attendance on camp. Thank you also to our wonderful children for their enthusiasm and participation in all activities. Camp was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all!
On Friday, our Year 6 children participated in Day 2 of the ‘Little Feet Big Footprints’ initiative.
Our children travelled to St Augustine’s Primary School in Creswick to network with Year 6 children from various Catholic primary schools in our Diocese. Part of this day consisted of listening to School Captains from Catholic secondary schools talk about their experiences as leaders. Children and staff had a fabulous day and we look forward to hosting day 3 at St Brigid’s Primary School in Term 3.
Have a wonderful week 7!
Take care and God Bless,
Jayne Bosworth
'Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made.'

Currently teachers are working on mid term reports. I commend our teachers for the energy, thoroughness, sincerity, and professionalism that they bring to their report writing processes.
In 2022 we will continue to use (PAM) Parent Access Module for delivering school reports. This online system provides parent’s access to a range of information specific to your child including Mid and End of Year Reports. Our mid-year reports will be available on PAM from Wednesday 22nd June.
On Saturday 4th June, Moorabool Libraries hosted the awards ceremony for the 2022 Moorabool Young Writers Awards. We are pleased to inform you that St Brigid’s students Marcus and Esther received the following awards:
- Marcus Speakman received an award for his entry in the Early Years Primary Awards. Marcus’ entry will be on display at Lerderderg Library for the month of June. Marcus won a book pack for himself and one for his classroom.
- Esther Seketa received an award for her story “The Thing” in the Middle Primary Awards. Esther placed 4th out of 180 entries!
Congratulations Marcus and Esther – we are so proud of you!
All students should now be wearing winter uniform. Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct winter uniform, as per the letter sent to families yesterday. Children are able to wear sports uniform each Wednesday and on classroom nominated sports day as directed by your child’s classroom teacher.
We appreciate any donations of the St Brigid's school uniform to our secondhand supply. Please ensure that donations are in very good condition, do not have stains, tears or rips and are in acceptable condition for future wear.
A reminder that Monday 11th July is a Student Free Day where staff will once again participate in a professional learning day, partnering with St Michael's Primary School and St Alipius Primary school, facilitated by Corwin Australia focusing on Visible Learning. On this day, Big Childcare are planning on facilitating a day of fun filled activities at St Brigid's! Please call 0434176872 or email stbrigids@bigchildcare.com if you are interested in registering your child.
