Change of Details
Dear Members of the St Brigid’s Community,
As we approach the end of Term 2, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you all for your continuous, ongoing support. I would particularly like to acknowledge the wonderful work of our dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure that St Brigid’s provides a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all children. Our staff are flexible, positive, enthusiastic and do not hesitate to step in where there is a need! Our children are absolute superstars who embrace all opportunities that school provides! Our key learning dispositions of Bravery, Curiosity, Collaboration, Resilience and Perseverance are certainly evident in our children every day. It is no surprise that each day, I feel so fortunate to work in a nurturing, warm and welcoming environment with amazing children, staff and families!
This term, we thank Anthony Clifford who has stepped into the Performing Arts role. Anthony is doing a wonderful job teaching Drama and his positivity and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated! Today will be Anthony's final day teaching Performing Arts and we look forward to welcoming Pete Mullane back to St Brigid’s next term!
Throughout the holidays, maintenance work will continue with external painting taking place. We look forward to sharing updates with you!
Have a wonderful break with your loved ones and I look forward to seeing you back at St Brigid’s next term on Tuesday 12th July at 9:00am.
Take care and God Bless,
Jayne Bosworth
'Inspire us to act justly and to reverence all God has made.'

There will be no hot lunches this week. Hot lunches will resume again next term. Many thanks again to Mickal Trinder and Hayley Plageman for organising and preparing hot lunches. Next term we will re-introduce a roster to help prepare and serve lunches on the Friday. If you are available to help out on a Friday between 11.30am-1.00pm please contact the school office (valid Working With Children Check is required).
The children really enjoy hot lunches and this can only happen with the help of volunteers!
Teachers have been working hard on mid-term reports. I commend our teachers for the energy, thoroughness, sincerity, and professionalism that they bring to their report writing processes.
In 2022 we will continue to use (PAM) Parent Access Module for delivering school reports. This online system provides parent’s access to a range of information specific to your child including Mid and End of Year Reports. Our mid-year reports will be available on PAM from Wednesday 22nd June.
Semester One Formal Reports will include:
- Work Habits Table

- Religious Education
- English (Reading & Viewing, Writing, Speaking & Listening)
- Mathematics (Number & Algebra, Measurement & Geometry, Statistics & Probability)
- Technologies
- Humanities
- Capabilities (Ethical, Personal and Social, Critical and Creative Thinking and Intercultural)
- Comment to celebrate your child’s achievements, in relation to their Personal and Social development and learning in Mathematics and English
- Statement outlining what has been taught in Religious Education and Auslan
- Comment for Physical Education, Visual Arts and Performing Arts
- Comment to identify your child’s next steps in learning to ensure future success and growth
A reminder that Monday 11th July is a Student Free Day where staff will once again participate in a professional learning day, partnering with St Michael's Primary School and St Alipius Primary school, facilitated by Corwin Australia focusing on Visible Learning. On this day, Big Childcare are planning on facilitating a day of fun filled activities at St Brigid's! Please call 0434176872 or email stbrigids@bigchildcare.com if you are interested in registering your child.
The Victorian Government has announced new Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools. The new standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.
St Brigid's School has reviewed and updated our child safety policies and procedures to ensure they meet the requirements of the new standards. These are available to view on the school’s website early Term Three.
We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices. If you have any suggestions, comments or questions in relation to our child safe policies and practices, please contact the school.
All of the timetabled events (to date) for the school year can be found on our school calendar which can be accessed through PAM and via this newsletter.
