Newsletter September 6th, 2022
Dear Members of our St Brigid’s Community,

Spring is in the air! With Springtime comes a renewed sense of focus, joy and sunshine. In the coming weeks, we look forward to the warmer, longer, brighter days! As we approach the last two weeks of Term 3, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support of our wonderful school.
On Thursday afternoon, we welcomed our dad’s and special people to our ‘Father’s and Special Person’s Pie Night’ to celebrate Father’s Day. We had a fabulous time playing games outside and sharing a meal together! A big thank you all who helped out in preparation for our celebration. We hope all of our dad’s and special people had a wonderful Father’s Day on Sunday.
Excitement is in the air as we prepare for our Arts Night this Wednesday 7th September! Our Arts Night will focus on celebrating creativity, effort and exploration. It will be an event for all to come and enjoy many pieces of artwork created by the children.
Have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing you Wednesday afternoon at our Arts Night!
Take care and God bless,
Jayne Bosworth
Principal

To celebrate the end of Term 3, Parents and Friends are offering hot dogs for lunch on Friday 9th September. Thank you for placing your child’s order last week - there will be no cost and this will replace hot lunches on this day. A reminder that if an order wasn’t placed, please send lunch with your child on this day and please send snacks or a sandwich to school if more lunch is needed in addition to the hotdogs.
A big thank you to Asha Shanahan and our Parents and Friends Committee for organising our Pie Drive! Orders will be available for collection this Friday 9th September after 2.45pm.
All of the timetabled events (to date) for the school year can be found on our school calendar which can be accessed through PAM and via this newsletter.

Next term, we will transition to Summer Uniform. As the weather can be unpredictable, for the first two weeks of Term 4, winter or summer uniform is acceptable. Please ensure that your child is wearing the correct winter or summer uniform. Children are able to wear sports uniform each Wednesday and on classroom nominated sports day as directed by your child’s classroom teacher.
As we are a SunSmart school, it is compulsory for children to wear a navy blue wide brim school hat in Terms 1 and 4. Please ensure your child has their hat on Day 1 of Term 4.
We appreciate any donations of the St Brigid's school uniform to our secondhand supply. Please ensure that donations are in very good condition, do not have stains, tears or rips and are in acceptable condition for future wear.
It has been wonderful welcoming families to our fortnightly assemblies. Our next assembly is Friday 9th September facilitated by Prep/1.
We look forward to seeing you!

We would love for hot lunches to continue for Term 4, however we really need volunteers for this to happen. Thank you for filling out the survey re availability to support with preparing Hot Lunches. Friday is the preferred day for hot lunches however this may need to change depending on availability. We are currently in the process of ascertaining whether Hot Lunches can continue in Term 4 and will advise shortly. To assist with organising Hot Lunches, and based on the overwhelming survey responses re online ordering and payment, we will move to an online app. More information will be circulated within the coming weeks.
